This is one of several guest rooms in this modern villa styled home. Our challenge here was to close the room for a quiet, relaxing area, creating an atmosphere of simple serenity. The wall behind the headboard was a vertically extended window from ceiling to floor. We directed light by creating three window boxes above the bed, taking advantage of nature daylight and calm evening light, which added a balance. We went with a free-form look, instead of adding window treatment. A comfortable chair for reading completes this room.

A west coast bachelor wanted to add accents throughout his condo with a view. He requested that the master bedroom reflect a mature, masculine, well traveled feel. The warm and inviting four-post bed, embellished with dark silk dupioni coupled with a complimented window draping and iridescent sheers provides for comfortable sleeping quarters.

Here we have a restored classic boutique hotel, adding in modern finishes, conveyed in European charm. Challenges were to update infrastructure, leaving classical charm in a modern setting. We darkened the wood patina on the staircase and added ceiling flood lighting to brighten the entire space between the upper and lower floors. The upstairs offers 3 private dining rooms overlooking the main floor, all complete with formal chandelier. The Tuscany Hill furnishings compliment the foyer.
